SAINTE BAUME MASSIF
Two adventures for a single path
My first short film
In March 2021 , curious about this mountain range that we could see in the distance from Mont Caume, we went to meet it, filming and photographing with my first camera.
Although I consider The White Ocean to be my first film, this short film is the first "long video" I ever made.

On the other side of the Massif
And in October 2021 , we were back on the mountain with a whole new set of equipment, from our bags to a brand new camera for what would later become a 7-episode series.
Our goal is to reach this massif on foot and on foot to see what lies to the north: On the other side of the Sainte Baume .

FIRST SHORT FILM
2021
Having set off from Toulon towards the Sainte Baume Massif to explore it, they are a herd of wild goats and a ball of stars awaited us there.
In a fit of nostalgia, I sometimes rewatch this short film, reviving unforgettable memories alongside my companions.

DIRECTION SAINTE BAUME
First step: Signs
Leaving Toulon towards Revest-les-Eaux, we took part of the GR99 before later turning towards the GR9 passing through the massif.
Iggy & Dante were still young, and I learned a little more about them every day as the days and kilometers went by together.

With our equipment ready, we set off to cross the Siou Blanc Plateau before setting up camp near Signes.

After a slow morning spent eating and playing together, we resumed our journey towards the summit of Sainte Baume.

With Iggy & Dante acting as my eyes and ears, they sniffed out something in the distance that caught our attention: a herd of wild goats.

As soon as they saw us, they ran away, and the chase across the mountain range could begin.

Tired of being followed, the goats turned around and blocked our path before grazing peacefully while we watched them.

It was after this encounter that we decided to set up camp and observe the stars together, a stellar dance that I leave you to discover in the film.

This was followed by a walk across the massif towards the west of Sainte Baume.

Satisfied with these encounters, we decided to return home, with beautiful memories in the heads of three dreamers.

ONE MOUNTAIN, ANOTHER STORY
2021
Curious to return to the Massif, we resumed our journey eight months later to Sainte Baume in what would become a 7-episode series.
More than returning to the Massif, it's its northern slope what interested us most, what was On the other side of the Sainte Baume.

A RENEWAL
Back on the trails
It was in October 2021 that we set off again towards this mountain range, curious to take its northern passage.
Our completely renewed equipment also meant that our artistic approach and its direction were entirely different, refining a way of doing things that will take another 4 years to find.

Back on Siou Blanc from Toulon and Le Revest, this time we decided to take more photos to capture this Plateau where we grew up.

Back on Signes and then on the GR9 before setting up our tent at the top of the massif, what a surprise it was to come across chamois on this massif in the South of Provence.

At sunrise, we were awakened by the same herd we had encountered eight months earlier on the mountain range.

A long period of mutual observation ensued; we examined the herd, which in turn scrutinized us with curiosity.

Après une longue mâtinée à déjeuner chacun un menu différent, le troupeau s'en est allé et notre camp fut enfin levé.
